4.Mon, 3/19/07 8:56 PMGenerally this IS a COI, but it also depends on what confidentiality agreements or gag orders are in place. It is unethical for drug companies to restrict and prevent the disclosure of important information about lack of efficacy or serious side effects. The physician also has an ethical obligation to make such information known and therefore has to be careful about entering into such agreements.
5.Fri, 4/27/07 5:54 PMThis doesn't say that the company reserves the right to hold results from publication, only that they have to give their permission (which could mean that they need to review the documents). It would not be okay for a company to say they can withhold results from publication.
